Alexandra here with a new post. I have been playing with the lovely poppies from “Poppy Bloom” (they are available as the monthly special as a set this month, hurry to get them at a special price!).
I wanted to play with embossing powders again and with the poppies a vibrant red seemed perfect.
I started by cutting a piece of cardboard large enough to fit the image and covered it with Versamark ink before dipping it in red embossing powder and triple emboss (or more like double-triple!). You want there to be a thick layer of embossing enamel. When it is nicely covered and still hot from the last embossing, quickly press the inked stamp into the embossing.
I used Tim Holtz Enamels to add the black dots and used a toothpick to draw the lines on the blooms with it too.
I mounted the panel on white, red and black cardstock and added a sentiment from this set to finish.
